This is now a Tractor Supply Company Store... It closed earlier than most of the other Acmes ... 1982, I believe. A highway project changed this store's entrance and made it ridiculously difficult to get in and out of ... business dropped off and it was eventually closed. It was on the outskirts of Nanticoke, a few miles from the West Main Street store. It was my favorite, and was identical to the store in Shavertown. I have a picture from its grand opening in 1957.
It became a Bargains Galore in the 80's until 1997, then It was a gerrity's for 9 years as a part of their luzerne county expansion, until we moved to the old Kmart in the Hanover mall. Now its a tractor supply.
