Word is Acme didn't make many changes to the former Genuardis' layout. The signature green ceiling  is still intact.




Plenty of big, bold signage for the organic section in Produce.










Since when are aisle markers used to tell customers to visit other departments rather than listing what's in the aisle? Very bizarre.


Single line leads to several express registers.




Not sure whats going on here. Perhaps a single line for all of the regular registers as well.








The lounge area will become a Starbucks by June.

Barnegat Acme Opening Soon!

Photos have been sent in giving us a sneak peek at the new Barnegat Acme. Genuardis closed this location back in December 2012 and the building has sat empty ever since. News broke in August that Acme would be taking over the location although the company would not confirm their plans at the time. Well there's no denying it now! The signs are up and the inside in being remodeled...

The Quality Built decor package is up on the walls...

White Produce cases which would be s switch from the usual black cases that have been going into remodeled stores.

The store, which will be Baregat only supermarket, is due to open in early February.

Here comes another NEW Acme!

According to officials in Barnegat, New Jersey, Acme is officially moving into the abandoned Genuardi's! The breaking news was reported last night on AsburyParkPress,com. Thanks to Dave W. for letting us know. Acme will not confirm the news at this time but the store is expected to open in early 2016. For more details, please click here.
