The following Acmes have opened:
Former A&P Fresh at 55 Riverwalk Pl, West New York, NJ
Former Pathmark at 481 River Rd, Edgewater, NJ
Please note: Store counts may not be 100% accurate. Acme Style will do its best to track the openings but if Acme Markets does not update their blog in a timely manner, it will be extremely difficult to maintain an exact store count until all converted stores reopen.
Acme needs to step up its game when it comes to this blog. I admire Croce's obvious passion and enthusiasm but he's not a writer and shouldn't attempt to be one. If stores are reopening today, they should be listed on the blog by morning at the very latest. I'm okay with no remodels as long as Acme is professional about communicating their new stores.
ReplyDeleteThey have updated the blog, adding these two stores to the list.
DeleteCroce’s not the one doing the posting anyway. The blog is being updated by someone named Lauren and I’m sure PR churns out the letters for Croce to sign.
DeleteIts so exciting to see this happen, can't wait for the new store openings to be posted. I worked 32 years and have since retired and never got to see this happen. I was always in fear of closings during my time.
ReplyDeleteUm... when did ANYBODY above you (the Acme Style guy) ask about coffee?
DeleteOk, relax there Anonymous. My comment got published in the wrong spot.

Midland Park closes tomorrow 10/10 and opens on Wed 10/14. However, according to the article below, it's going to lose its Liquor Department. My guess is that Allendale will lose theirs as well when they open Friday 10/16

I find that very strange that Allendale would lose theirs, considering how much of a focal point it's been for that store since it opened as a Futurestore way back in the 80s.
DeleteApparently the liquor licenses aren't transferring as many thought they would, and the limit of two? licenses for a licensee is being enforced.
