LAST FISH-EYE LOGO SIGN
IN THE HISTORY OF ACME MARKETS
HAS BEEN REMOVED!
Location: 71 Taylor Ave, Manasquan, NJ
Who is this guy and why haven't the police been called? Where is the fish-eye sign? In the dumpster? I'm on my way to Manasquan!
Maybe its just a fuse blown in the sign. OR A lightbulb
ReplyDeleteNope. All new beams have been put in. The old beams were configured differently to hold the fish-eye sign.
DeleteThat's right! I forgot! I wonder if the new sign will be a 3d sign...
DeleteIll thought renovation or some Acme loving thieves? I'll wait and pass judgement later...
ReplyDeletePseudo3D,
DeleteLove your safeway and albertsons in texas blog!
No way this will stand. Whoever that guy is, we need to KICK HIS ASS. NOW.
ReplyDeleteQuick! Everybody drive to Manasquan to get that sign. Start a bidding war, and a riot
ReplyDeleteI see a remodel in the future, or a Facade rebuild...
ReplyDeleteGet your pitchforks and torches...
ReplyDeleteThe townspeople must drive the sign thief into exile.
At least we still have Parkesburg!
Actually, the Manasquan Acme has gone through a great deal of painting and general fixing up. It almost looks like new inside. The same cooler boxes but cleaner and fresh looking. Replaced floor tiles and ceiling tiles. Fresh clean paint on the walls.
ReplyDeleteI was to that the sign shattered into hundreds of pieces when it was removed. So save the gas, the sign is gone.
T
Accidentally due to brittleness or deliberately?
ReplyDeleteHas anyone considered making a phone call to find out what happened here?
ReplyDeleteDoes the wall decor look different in the first picture? They also unpainted or replaced some of the front windows.
ReplyDeleteThe wall decor is the same but they did paint over portions of it. Good catch with the front windows! They did remove the paint.
DeleteNO IT'S NOT! Premium Fresh and Healthy 3.0!
DeleteRight, that was covered in the Feb 6th post when we had pictures that clearly showed the interior.
DeleteI'm very glad that I made it in May to see the last fisheye logo sign with my own eyes.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if the old clock is still inside?
ReplyDeleteHeh...check out this Instagram post Acme made in December 2014, just before they changed the sign at the store:
