The Wayne store opened in 1970 and was expanded in early 90's. It was remodeled again in the early 2000's with the Albertsons Marketplace decor. Rumors of the store's demise persisted for years in the late 2010's. It was believed the store would close once the location in Bryn Mawr was torn down and rebuilt. The Wayne Acme wound up closing in February 2011 and was rapidly converted into the stores you see above. Bryn Mawr, after numerous delays in the planning and construction stages, finally opened on June 1, 2012. To visit the Bryn Mawr store, please click here.
