Once again, I was not able to finish up the store post for today. It will go up first thing Saturday morning. Normally I do a big store post every other Friday but I'm trying to pick up that pace for a while to get through some inventory I have on hand. I also want to get both Exton and Westtown posted before they close in a couple of weeks. One of those stores, along with some bonus content, will be the subject of tomorrow's post. Be sure to check back then!
There used to be an Acme in Farmingdale, Long Island up until a few years ago. It was located on the edge of their quaint downtown. I was wondering whether you have any information about that one?
ReplyDeleteIs it giant(red letters( or the fruit bowl giant?
ReplyDeleteRed letters. No fruit bowl Giants in Pennsylvania.
DeleteExton lost power in the storm on Wednesday. I don't know if this will affect the closing date.
ReplyDeleteIf its an acme in the bensalem pa area, there's a cluster of supermarkets. 2 Acmes (one in the phila/bensalem pa border. And the other in hulmeville road that's very close across from a shop rite. A giant. And a redners.
ReplyDeleteThe Acme Sav-on of Woodhaven (Bensalem, Pa) opened 1973 as Acme Super Saver. The Acme of Bensalem, at Hulmeville & Bristol Road, opened as Acme Markets. The closest competiton to the Woodhaven acme Sav-on is the Morrell Park ShopRite and the Franklin Mills Pathmark Sav-A-Center, which opened as Super Fresh Super Store.
