Apologies for no new posts lately. The summer has been keeping me too busy with other things. I don't have a date yet for when new posts will be going up again. I'm shooting for the first week of August. The blog will be back up and running full-time in September.
Pathmark announced a number of store closings in NJ yesterday. The Camden, Cherry Hill, and one other store (Willingboro?) are all closing in South Jersey. I think the Willingboro store might have been listed under the name of a different town that I was not familiar with.
ReplyDeleteYes, the Pathmark across from the Willingboro Acme is closing on September 6.
DeleteIt's sad that more Pathmarks are closing, like the one in Deptford, which closed back in 2011 due to Walmart. Not to change the subject but I've heard that a Sav-a-lot will be built at the rundown Paulsboro plaza where the abandoned Acme used to be. You can read about it here: http://www.nj.com/gloucester-county/index.ssf/2013/07/paulsboro_plaza_redevelopment_gains_final_site_approval.html

Delete@Laura, you are referring to the Pathmark in Edgewater Park. The closing is bad news for the PM workers but I wonder if this means the long-rumored closing of the Acme will not happen.
ReplyDeleteI work at the Willingboro ACME and I went into the Edgewater Park Pathmark today and there is not much left in the store. They are not going to make it until September. I think they will be closed sooner. They don't even have the closing signs up yet.
