The Fate of the Former Morrisville Acme

The former 90's-era Acme in Morrisville will be torn down to make way for new businesses. An article on Levittownnow.com details residents opposition to the project. A sitemap is included showing the new layout of the property which includes a "super" Wawa. Set to join Wawa is A Rite Aid and an unnamed fast food restaurant.

  1. God, that's scary. That store is still, in my eyes, a new building. It was also a very beautiful store, and I can't believe it's coming down! Couldn't something move in there? It seems like a pretty versatile place. No. This shouldn't happen.

    1. Yes, very sad. This and the New Moorestown store should be put to a good use, not torn down.

  2. It's not a good location in terms of visibility or accessibility. The Giant is in the middle of everything but you can drive by the Acme and not know it's there. And there's only 1 way to get in and out.

  3. People opposed to the Wawa project seem to think it will bring too much traffic to the intersection; I guess the Acme's neighbors really weren't used to a lot of cars going in and out.
