A couple of pictures of the former pitched-roof store in Bangor, Pa have been sent. This Acme opened here back in August 1962. Closing date unknown. I've been wanting to get to this store for years now but haven't made it this part of Pennsylvania. Hopefully someday. I'm dying to see the inside. There was a similar former pitched-roof store in Lancaster that was also occupied by an ACE Hardware. The interior there was completely renovated but all of Acme's architecture was left untouched. I believe ACE has since left that location and the building has since been significantly altered. Fortunately that is not the case with the Bangor location. This building is virtually identical to the Parkesburg store…
