Acme Lowers Prices... Again!

Another round of price reductions has swept through Acme! These signs are up all over the store including "NEW Lower Prices" shelf tags up and down every aisle. I have already been pleased with prices at Acme since they have taken over my local A&P and Pathmark stores. Their sale prices are particularly good. I was a bit skeptical when I saw all of this new signage this past weekend. Took a walk around the store, checking out the items I have been buying regularly in the past few weeks and saw, for sure, that the prices have dropped. Have to say... Acme IS getting better every day!

Starbucks kcups now priced $1 to $2 lower than Target!

Wow that's a lot of shelf tags!

Signs are attached to each register along the front end. Have to say too, I'm loving the mymixx app!

  1. I was in the Woodcliff Lake store on Saturday and I noticed these signs everywhere. I too am very pleased with the prices. They also got rid of all those clearance items that were left over from A&P which took up lots of shelf space at this store.

    1. Still waiting for the clearance items to get cleared out in my area. They don't seem to be moving at all. The Edgewater Acme still has tons of them throughout the store.

  2. Not sure if it’s temporary due to holiday promotions but the “It’s just better” tag is missing from the circular this week while still appearing in the Safeway circular here in DE.

    1. It's been gone from Acme's for a good month now.

    2. Interestingly, so is the "You're in for something fresh" tagline from the Albertsons LLC websites.

  3. Hopefully this is because Albertsons used its now vast collection of stores to get the buying power it needs.

  4. Just out of curiosity what is the price of the kcups? At stop&shop they're 7 to 8 dollars!

  5. I always wondered why Acme has had such a poor Organic offering? Back with Wild Harvest, they only carried some of the items. And it's about the same with the O Organics.

  6. Ortley surprisingly has a lot of Essential Everyday products. I thought that with the new stores, they would not use the old stuff, but instead move on to only safeway's brands. I personally liked essential everyday and do not like the new Safeway crap.

  7. I know it's not a popular brand on this site, but I have to agree. I like the Essential Everyday brand over the Safeway stuff as well.

  8. Shopped at an Acme last week and was shocked by some of the great deals- a pound of butter for $3.49 and a 12 pack of Pellegrino for $14.99! I really hope that Acme is able to market its better prices because that's what's going to generate more traffic than anything else.

  9. I wonder all this compares to ShopRite and if Acme could carve out a good niche with the lower prices of ShopRite and higher quality of Wegmans.

  10. From what I heard in the customer survey the Acme people did, they found out customers wanted lower prices the most. Mind you the prices weren't that bad to begin with, ACME is off to a great start. This just need to keep this up, but I'm sure they will Alberstons is the 2nd biggest grocery store chain in the country. So I'm pretty sure they know what there doing either way it's a dream start for the re-expanison

  11. Sorry, I don't mean to offend you, but I wish you hadn't blurred the prices in this post, since you are demonstrating the new lower prices campaign.

    1. Prices are always blurred on the blog. You have to go to your local Acme to see how low the prices really are!

  12. I found Acme's pricies to be higher then Stop & Shop and much higher then ShopRite. $3.49 for a pound of butter? Try $2.88 at ShopRite this week. Starbucks K Cups. 5.99.

    1. You're comparing sale prices. This post was about Acme's regular prices being lowered.
