This photo was taken in June, 1964 - the location was 3rd & Oregon in Phila. Notice this was when they used clear glass in the gable instead of the white opague glass later used, which I like better but the clear front shown an interesting design with the store lighting.

Apparently the store was expanded, and was possibly a Super Saver. At one point it was a "Value Warehouse" furniture store (local chain, now out of business).
Okay, so this is where the Oregon Vietnamese Market (Oregon Market) is behind the Whitman Plaza Pathmark Did'nt know this started out as a Pitched Roof.
That Pathmark has been reborn as a ShopRite. I don't know what it is about the Philadelphia area ShopRite stores, but I haven't been in one yet that struck me as nice. I guess I was spoiled getting to shop at the Jersey Shore ShopRite stores.
