'Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the Acme, Not a customer was stirring, not even a baby; The price tags were hung in the aisle with care, In hopes that some last minute shoppers soon would be there;
Their dinner supplies were stacked all sloppily in their carts, While visions of 10 for $10 deals warmed up their hearts; And the cashier in her apron, and the manager in his tie, Are there to say Merry Christmas to you, Acme Style!
Well, maybe it doesn't go exactly like that, but Merry Christmas to everyone and I wish Acme and Albertsons the best in the new year.
The Acme Style Blog was established in January 2009 with the mission of preserving the history of Acme Markets.
The blog features pictures and stories of Acme grocery stores, including closed, abandoned and repurposed locations throughout Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania with the hopes of eventually having every Acme and former Acme represented on the blog. Photo contributions are greatly appreciated and will be gladly credited as you wish.
And as the classic poem goes...
